Hey, what’s up and welcome to Sher’s Variety! I’m thrilled you are here! Let me introduce myself, my name is Sherrie but mostly everyone I know calls me Sher. Besides my mother who has always called me Sher Bear since I could remember, I guess I’ve learned to appreciate it over the years.lol
Since I was a kid I’ve always had a passion for creating and making things around me come together. I was the girl that moved my room around every two weeks, did makeovers on friends and family, and wanted to make everything around me beautiful. Plus, I’m a Virgo and like to have everything perfect, which can kinda drive me crazy sometimes.lol
After attending college, majoring in Psychology for 3 years, it wasn’t enough. I decided to put that on hold, got married to the love of my life and focused on what I truly wanted out of this world. I decided to go to cosmetology school, where I found myself and had a life-changing experience.
I’ve worked in salons for about 4 ½ yrs, focusing on hair, makeup, skincare and everything beauty related.
I learned so much from school, salons, and good ol’ Google, that’s when it clicked for me. I knew I wanted to share the knowledge I have to offer. Sher’s Variety has been in the works since 2016, and while it has been a journey I have also loved creating my little corner of the internet. I have always had the desire to be self-employed, and in 2017 I decided to stick to freelance work and took on blogging full time.
Through every struggle, I strive to be the best version of myself. I wanted to create a place of inspiration, motivation, along with self-care and vision to help others be the best versions of themselves. It can be hard reinventing yourself, but if I can do it, you can too! I created a menu to share a “variety” of topics I am most passionate about. I’ll be sharing my top beauty tips, style, travel and overall lifestyle vibes. So, take a seat and enjoy.
